A-Rated Action Wasn’t Enough For Yudhra

A-Rated Action Wasn't Enough For Yudhra

After Bollywood just got over its nostalgic slumber, the box office kicked back with an R rated action packed movie “Kill” which fell below the box office, and the audience was eagerly waiting for “Yudhra” to deliver that same level of dopamine boost.

But did it really happen?

Directed by Ravi Udyawar, dialogues by Farhan Akhtar and lyrics by Javed Akhtar, what could possibly go wrong with the movie?

The film we are talking about here is “Yudhra”, an action packed thriller movie with a mafia backdrop. Starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, Malavika Mohana, Raghav Juyal and many more, this movie failed to deliver what it promised.

This 142 min movie failed to engage the audience, a no brainer where the plotline left the room. Packed with drama, romance and tons of action “Yudhra” still couldn’t wrap all the threads.

Siddhant Chaturvedi who is a very versatile actor looked flat in this movie, his only trait in this movie was he has “Anger Issue”, much like “Kabir Singh”.

The story revolves around Chaturvedi’s character who lost both of his parents, and during his delivery his mother died and meanwhile because of lack of oxygen it affected his brain leaving him with damage which later transformed into “Anger Issue”.

He was adopted by one of his father’s colleagues which made him more angry. After many events he gets a chance to take down a drug dealer in Mumbai.

From there the movie becomes exhausting for the audience. The recent release “Kill” was widely appreciated by audiences because it had minimal plot, and the focus was action, on the other side “Yudhra” with its long storyline and unrhythmic action left the audience exhausted.

The plot and the motive of the film felt forced to the audience, and this film proved that Chaturvedi still has room for improvement.

Only the action sequences were a plus point for the movie, Chaturvedi’s character became so flat that his counterpart Raghav Juyal who is providing us with good acting , even Ram Kapoor’s character got wasted in this oblivious storyline.

To put an end to this “Yudhra” failed to satisfy the audience’s taste buds, this film is an example of don’t try to put everything in a dish, this only makes it bitter.
