“Jigra” got a huge backlash, starting from allegations like fake ticket bookings to discrimination, “Jigra” got mixed negative reviews from the critics.
Directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Karan Johar, this movie promised a lot, and delivered very less.
Although it got a solid 8.1 from IMDb, it seems like “Jigra” is unable to gather an audience in the theatres, so we can call it a humongous box office failure.
But it is associated with Netflix, we know that after its theatrical run ends it’ll premiere on Netflix.
But the question is will OTT save “Jigra”?
There is a pretty high chance that after its OTT premiere, “Jigra” will be appreciated by the fans, because as of now because of the allegations and the calling outs viewers have decided into two sections , one who are still watching and one who ain’t watching it at all.
But, after it’ll be on Netflix it can reach a vast number of audiences, which can be a turning point for the movie.
Because, the trend says movies that don’t work well come under the banner of OTT to flourish, and with honesty, this movie deserves some audience.
Because the brother sister bond they have depicted is so pure that it can shine when it comes to ott, now it’s for us to wait.
When the theatrical run will end and it’ll be streaming on Netflix.
