Directed by Vasan Bala, and produced under Dharma Production, “Jigra” is an action packed, female led jailbreak movie, where Alia Bhatt is our protagonist.
Although, Alia Bhatt’s amazing performance saved the movie from its mediocrity, it is safe to say that the movie didn’t deliver what it was supposed to do.
With a very poor Day 1 collection “Jigra” collected Rs 1.61 crore, in the Hindi market.
“Jigra” served us a very mediocre jail break story with the touch of family bonding, with blasting cars and less efforted fighting sequences. This movie didn’t even try to go beyond the boundaries.
After the trailer launched people anticipated that this movie could have the potential to bring more female led action movies.
But, that’s not the dramatic point. Divya Khosla, who is a prominent name in the industry, allegedly accused Alia Bhatt for fake ticket booking.
She shared in her Instagram story that she went to Citi Mall PVR for “Jigra” show, and saw the theatre was empty, and posted that Alia Bhatt had the guts to announce a fake collection.
Coming from a rigid figure from the industry this accusation says a lot about how she feels towards the movie.
Without any proof or any resources, accusing someone is not a sign of good sportsmanship.
Alia Bhatt didn’t say anything as a reply to this accusation as of now.
With all fairness, Alia Bhatt unleashed her inner strength in this movie, alongside other actors, she single handedly saved the movie, which is praise worthy.
But, this sudden attack by Divya Khosla was so unexpected that it actually makes no sense.
