While ‘to be or not to be’ has been the ‘it’ question of literature ever since it was first coined, when applied to the film and entertainment industry, it becomes ‘to rule or not to rule’. And such has been the case with Indian films for the better part of this year. Not only have titles like ‘All We Imagine As Light’ left their mark on a large international audience, Indian titles continue to do so!
Recently, this has been brought more into context considering the collections that ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and ‘Singham Again’ have garnered, not only in India, but also the USA. Despite the fact that both the films have debuted to wildly mixed reviews from the audience as well as the critics, their respective collections have been high, nevertheless.
While both titles have reportedly amassed a whopping USD 2.1M at the international box-office, the story doesn’t there. Having released only 3 days ago, these numbers are all set to soar higher and even surpass the likes of ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’, ‘Terrifier 3’, and ‘We Live In Time’.
As far as their collections within the country are concerned, both ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and ‘Singham Again’ were quick to beat out the lifetime collections of their respective predecessor installments! What this also means is that, both the movies have carried forward the legacy that films like ‘Crew’ and ‘G.O.A.T’ have established earlier this year: causing a stir not only nationally, but also at the international level!
