Aryan Khan’s Netflix Series: Can It Overcome Nepotism Claims?

Bollywood is related with every Indian’s nostalgia, from period to period it evolved with time adapting capable actors, and stories relevant to its time. In this process we got a gem in the world of cinema and that is none other than Shah Rukh Khan.

And now Shah Rukh Khan’s eldest son Aryan Khan is going to have his directorial debut in 2025, with his own written story, which will talk about the glamorous world of Bollywood and what it takes for an outsider to make a name.

After SRK shared this news, one of Bollywood’s most promising actresses Kangana Ranaut, chose to praise Aryan’s behind the camera choice.

On her Instagram story she wrote, “It’s great that children from film families are going beyond just wanting to wear make up, lose weight, doll up and think they are actors. We should collectively uplift the standards of Indian cinema, that is the need of the hour. And those who have resources often end up taking the easiest roads.”

She praised Aryan for this effort of taking a hard task as his debut. Not many children from film backgrounds choose to be a director instead of being the face of the cinema.

Earlier we saw Suhana Khan debuting with the Netflix show “The Archies”.

Aryan’s Netflix show will have some star studded cameos and it will give a glimpse of Bollywood itself, on the other hand Kangana is gearing up for her most anticipated releases, “Emergency” which will be releasing on January 17th, 2025.

It’s good to see that elders and experienced ones coming forth to encourage the ones who are just beginning their journey.

Aryan choice of being behind the camera can be a step towards breaking the nepotism claims that go around in the air.

Choosing a directorial debut and not as an actor can create a different space for him to grow, where we are already witnessing Suhana thriving in the industry as an actress.

Aryan’s choice to contribute in the industry from behind the lenses is one of a kind of a choice and a road which is yet to explore for many upcoming directors. Let’s wish a great deal of luck for Aryan’s venture as he is finally stepping into the industry, on his own terms.
