‘Baby John’ Trailer: Action Packed Masala Entertainer

Trailer for much awaited film ‘Baby John’ is out now and this one’s an action packed masala entertainer. A remake of Atlee’s 2016 film ‘Theri’, which itself was inspired by Mani Ratnam’s ‘Chatriyan’ (1990), ‘Baby John’ is helmed by Kalees and will arrive in cinemas this Christmas on 25th December, 2024.

Beginning with an aesthetic shot of the backwaters of Kerala, ‘Baby John’ trailer starts with an innocent conversation and visuals of the adorable relationship between a father (Varun Dhawan) and his little daughter.

The trailer swiftly moves back and forth in time showing how different the same person has become just to protect his daughter. The past version was a fun filled character who falls in love and fights in a flamboyant manner. Whereas the present one is more subdued, laying low kinda a father.

But things take a drastic turn when his daughter is under threat and he changes into beast mode to save her. The villain is played by Jackie Shroff who looks extremely menacing in his character who abducts young girls and is involved in their trafficking.

The whole ‘Baby John’ trailer is full on action packed and looks like an absolute masala entertainer with drama, emotions, romance, comedy and obviously solid action. Varun Dhawan looks decent in both the before and after versions of his characters and also the action looks good on him. But to be honest, it’s Jackie Shroff’s character that totally steals the spotlight in the trailer.

The BGM is powerful, editing looks sharp, cinematography seems good and yes, there’s also a hint of Salman Khan’s highly anticipated cameo alongside visuals of other cast members.

‘Baby John’ is directed by Kalees with a story by Atlee and stars Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, and Sheeba Chaddha in prominent roles. Salman Khan and Sanya Malhotra make special appearances in the film.

Atlee, Priya Atlee, Murad Khetani and Jyoti Deshpande are the producers for ‘Baby John’. Thaman S has composed music for the film with cinematography by Kiran Kaushik and editing by Ruben. Produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios and A For Apple Productions, ‘Baby John’ will arrive in theatres worldwide on 25th December, 2024 .
