Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a more than amazing film. The character of Manjulika and the ones played by Akshay Kumar, Rajpal Yadav, and Manoj Joshi were so greatly directed that the movie became a landmark. The immense success of the movie was supported by the album which had quite many groovy tracks.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Mere Dholna became timeless and also one of the canonical works for the artists who sang those songs.
Mere Dholna is a very difficult and complex song but it is true to its soul. It does not try to be scary but when you watch it in the context of the film then it becomes truly eerie.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 came and it killed the song with literally 6 different versions. Yes, 6 different versions of Mere Dholna or Ami Je Tomar.
The title track too, became a victim of big budget.
Now, T-Series has gone all crazy and over the top. They brought Diljit Dosanjh and even Pittbul in the song.
We ask “Why”?
Was it really needed?
Can’t things be simple?
We bet this song would die down after the release of the film and nobody would listen to it. Promotion of the films should be done by the content. If the whole film becomes a promotional material then there is nothing really to watch.
Fans are also not at all happy with the project. Somehow Bhool Bhulaiyaa title track seems butchered and the greed of T-Series is the responsible force.
