Big Films Failing, Can The Last Months Be Fruitful For Indian Cinema

This year has been very turbulent for Indian cinema. Most anticipated projects turned out to be failures at the box office. Although some films made a huge name and broke many records, Kalki 2898 AD and Stree 2 are some examples of the same. But overall the year has been full of losses for the industry.

As the year came towards its summit, many big-budget and highly anticipated projects were announced to be released. This was a hope for the industry to get back on track. But up till now, all the highly estimated projects have failed to live up to the expectations.

For example, Greatest of All Time was a highly anticipated project, aiming to break records. But the film could not gather much attention. Devara was anticipated to cross 100 crores on its opening day, but it could not. The film faded away a few days after its release. The same has recently happened with Vettaiyan which was expected to be the Highest Grosser Tamil film of the year, but it did not turn out as expected.

With only two months left for the year (as there are no big releases left for the month), can Indian cinema turn some good profit?

The people now eye towards the films. First being Singham Again, which is the part of a superhit film series. Laden with multiple stars, the film can gain a huge audience through its cast itself. It is expected to be one of the biggest films of the year.

Kanguva, starring Suriya and Bobby Deol will be released on 14th November. As per its director, the film will grow 2000 crores. Though this can be an exaggeration, the film still has the potential to go big.

Finally, in December, the sequel to Pushpa will be released. The film has been awaited since the release of the first film. Considering the success of the previous film and the star power of Allu Arjun, the film can go really big.

Finally, if these films turn out as expected, the year can still turn into a good one and be fruitful.
