Binny And Family Failed To Set The Family Dynamic

Generational gap, family dynamic is somehow now a go to trope in Bollywood. Although it provides us with a very beautiful slice of life, if it is being stretched too much, only then the problem occurs.

Same happened with “Binny and Family” directed by Sanjay Tripaathy, this movie includes Anjini Dhawan, Pankaj Kapur, Rajesh Kumar, Himani Shivpuri, Charu Shankar and Naman Tripathy.

This movie revolves around Binny who is a youngster and her Grandfather and how they are dealing with their generation gap.

This movie beautifully paints the picture of family dynamic, and how special bondings between grandfather and granddaughters are, providing you with a beautiful slice of life.

But, “Binny And Family” falls flat to the dynamic which has been presented in the movies many times, it doesn’t go beyond that.

Which initially started with a warm hug to the audience, couldn’t keep up with its pace and ended up giving the viewers a very bland taste. The movie no doubt gave a warm hug to the viewers but quickly took it back as well.

Anjini, Varun Dhawan’s niece, makes a competent debut.

This movie could have been a more heartwarming movie which would give the viewers a sense of serenity. But, because the plot line is too stretched out it kind of becomes blank.

If we do a comparison, then we will see that Sojit Sarkar’s “Piku” also dealt with family dynamic tropes but it had a connected thread throughout the movie.

But “Binny and Family” loses its charm right there.
