Varun Dhawan is gearing up for a massive comeback to the cinemas with his much-awaited thriller Baby John. Expectations are high for Varun Dhawan to deliver what looks like a complete action-packed entertainer, as he hasn’t had any box office success post-pandemic. The only speedbreaker coming in the way of Baby John is Thalapathy Vijay.
Yes, you heard that right. Thalapathy Vijay’s Theri is one of the most influential films of all time and certainly one of his career’s best, and with Baby John being adapted from Their, it puts a huge comparison line between Varun and Vijay. Fans have been comparing both the films and actors since the announcement was made.
The same thing happened with Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey and Hrithik Roshan’s Vikram Vedha. Both being remakes, actually delivered as the performances were stellar but didn’t deliver anything at the box office. It might happen the same way for Baby John as almost everyone has watched Theri and everyone knows the plot.
What would make this film a must-watch would be the performances and Varun Dhawan needs to take the front seat in this one. Though Shahid and Hrithik perfectly played their roles, they didn’t seem to take it to the next level at the box office. Varun might have to uplift his game on display to reach higher with the film.
The music, cinematography, script, and action are all in place for Baby John. All that remains to be seen is the acting part and Varun Dhawan has no other option but to hit it out of the park with this one. It will be interesting to see how Varun Dhawan aims at the box office this Christmas with his much-awaited Baby John.
