As Diwali awaits for a huge box office clash, Rajkummar Rao would certainly look to capitalize on the Box office market before Diwali. His family comedy-drama Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is currently reigning among the top in the pool of Bollywood movies.
Although the Rajkummar Rao film had greater potential to be a hit in more two and three-tier theaters, it seems that the title conveyed the impression that it wasn’t a family film. Thus, in addition to the conflicting reviews, this also led to fewer foot traffic.
Despite that, the film looked to hold a strong grip at the theatres in last two weeks. It collected 27 Crores in its first week making a decent first week for the film. During this time, it also created controversies regarding involvement of Stree angle in the film.
Looking at the second week, there is a huge dip with 10.15 Crores being minted by the film. As there is one week left for two supergiants in Bhool Bhulaiya 3 and Singham Again to battle at the Box office, this would be a good time for the Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri starrer to reach the 50 crore mark.
Alongside this comedy entertainer, Alia Bhatt’s Jigra is also trying to reach the 40 crore mark with the film being close to 30 crores up to now.
