As kids, the fact that our parents might grow up is something that never bothers us. However, as and when we grow from adolescence to young adulthood to adulthood, accompanied by the simultaneous aging of our parents, there comes a times when it hits us, and when it does, it hits hard.
The theme of children abandoning their parents during the latter’s old age is something that has been explored through films numerous times before. Which is to say, hard-hitting films like ‘Baghban’ don’t quite leave us, no matter the last time we saw it.
An upcoming film, based on the same theme, ‘Vanvaas’ is upcoming in December. Starring Nana Patekar, Utkarsh Sharma, and Rajpal Yadav in leading roles, the film is one of the very few titles releasing in a long while that cater to a wide array of demographics, especially middle aged and above.
With the plethora of films constantly releasing on the action, comedy, romance, and whatnot genres, the slightly older age demographics are often left out. Not only will ‘Vanvaas’ tackle that predicament, but the fact that promotions for the film are in full swing will definitely add on to its performance at the box office!
Hopefully, ‘Vanvaas’ will also set into motion a streak of developing films that cater to slightly older audiences as well!
