The re-release trend has made fans go crazy and it is good that many underrated gems are now finally being appreciated by audiences and also getting the box office numbers that they deserved during the very first release.
Now, Dibakar Banerjee’s social comedy ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ is being re-released in theaters soon. It will be available to watch from the 18th of October this year.
‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ came out in 2006 and had gathered critical acclaim but did average business at the box office. Hopefully it will now find a huge number of audiences and its success will be as astounding as Tumbbad’s.
The movie tells the story of Kamal Kumar Khosla, an old man with two sons who wants to have a house of his own. But his land is grabbed by a thug. His sons try out new plans with their friends to retrieve the land from the goon.
The movie stars actors like Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Naveen Nischol, Prabin Dabas, Vinay Pathak, Ranbir Shorey, Rajesh Sharma etc. The performances are beautiful. And beyond the gags of laughter there is a very satirical commentary on Indian society, consumerism, corruption and wellbeing. If you have already watched the movie, it makes no sense talking about the particularities. But if you have not watched it yet, now is your time, make sure to watch it in big screens from the 18th of October.
