A few small films are ruling the internet. People are showing crazy levels of excitement and it is a positive change. It is not just big budget and starcast films but even small movies that deserve the attention of the audiences and finally Indians are showing some sort of care towards the films that often used to get lost in the big budget glamour show.
But, thankfully, the strategy of these great small films is really interesting. They create buzz through film festivals and awards and then they look for small scale theatrical releases.
Similar thing happened to “All We Imagine As Light” and the same is going to happen in Santosh.
The movie is the story of a female police officer who got the job after her husband was dead. She is investigating the murder of a young girl and that is when we see the changes inside her and the way we perceive society.
The film is set entirely in India but it has been produced by India, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
The film is written and directed by Sandhya Suri and stars Sahana Goswami in the lead role.
It will have its premiere in India on the 10th of January. Let’s see how it performs.
