Is The Dhamaal Spin-Off Idea Truly Worth It

The legendary actor Jaaved Jaaferi is coming back to his own sweet spot with Bhuvan Bam’s new comedy thriller “Taaza Khabar”.

Javed Jaaferi is no doubt a package of talent, he played crucial roles in many comedy movies, where his comedy wasn’t surpassed by other actor, for example in movies like “Dhamaal” franchise, “Coolie No. 1” and being the son of the famous comedian Jagdeep, we can’t forget his iconic Hindi commentary in the Japanese TV game show Takeshi’s Castle.

But, noa that he is back with Bhuvan Bam’s “Tazza Khabar”, we will again see another version of Jaaferi.

In this constantly evolving industry where re-release and spin offs are pieces of cake, Bhuvan and Jaafari in a recent interview talked about the spin off of the iconic “Manav Shrivastav-Aditya Shrivastav duo from the Dhamaal series”.

Jaaved Jaaferi said in the interview, “In fact, I have suggested to Indra Kumar, the director of Dhamaal, to create something on Adi and Manav’s characters — a proper web series featuring Adi and Manav.”

Now the rising star Bhuvan was very excited by the idea and requested the audience to sign a petition to create a series on Adi and Manav: with the hashtag #BringBackAdiManav.

But if we think about it we can’t say that the majority will agree with Bhuvan because of his fandom, a section of people might agree but rest will probably not agree.

Because the industry and web series chain has changed a lot with time , the fun we had while watching “Dhamaal” won’t be the same anymore if we get a spin off, because comedy itself has evolved enormously.

The adaptability of these kind of franchise won’t be the same with other movies because they have their own label, which might not bond well with the current audience.
