Mary Kom Actor Faced Racism For This

After calling out the casting team of “Jigra”, Bijou Thaangjam faced brutal trolling online, after he exposed his side of the story.

But a few hours ago today the Mary Kom actor slammed the trollers with a post on twitter.

In his previous post, Bijou Thaangjam shared the story of how he was kept under the shadows by the “Jigra” team. He wrote in his post that in 2023 he was approached by the team, and they asked him to send sample tapes of his audition, which he did.

The team then said the filming will start from December, leaving the actor oblivious of dates or anything par say.

They didn’t give him any dates. December came and went by but still no response, based on this incident the actor called the producers and team “Very Unprofessional”.

Meanwhile when he was booked by the production house for the entire December, and still got no chance he missed out lots of opportunities and it wasted lots of his time.

But, the “Jigra” fandom didn’t even hesitate to troll someone for legit pointing out his problem.

He was brutally trolled online and faced a heck ton of racism. Being an actor from Manipur which is as much part of India as Mumbai or Delhi, these kinda cheap racist comments surely shows how some people still think.

In his today’s post he slammed the trollers by saying, “But to all the die-hard Alia Bhatt fans, bhakhts and fanatics, please do me a favor, get a life.”

Earlier today he tweeted, “The irony is truly remarkable. I speak up about discrimination, and suddenly I’m met with a flood of racist and discriminatory remarks. Bravo, well done. It’s almost like your pea-sized brain can’t grasp the concept of equality. But hey, some things never change, right?”

This is such a shame being a citizen of India where the word “Equality” is in our preamble, Northeastern people are still facing discrimination.

“Jigra” directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt under Dharma Production, is currently facing a hefty amount of controversy starting from fake booking allegations to now discrimination.

The end is still unknown.
