More Controversies For Jigra?

Alia Bhatt’s recent release “Jigra” directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, has become a hot topic in the industry for all the negative reasons.

After its weak opening day it seems like “Jigra” has now become a dart board where everyone is shooting their darts.

Everything started when Divya Khosla posted an alleged accusation about fake ticket bookings on her social media, and a cold fight is now going on between Karan Johar and her.

But, that’s not the topic to discuss right now, because “Jigra” has been shot with another bullet from the North Eastern actor, Bijou Thaangjam.

Bijou Thaangjam accused the team of “Jigra” for their unprofessional behaviour.

On Sunday the Manipur based actor took his X (formally known as Twitter) account to share his side of the story.

He shared that he has no intention to dive into the controversy that has been going on, but now he must speak about his own experience from the Jigra team.

She shared that, back in 2023 he was approached by the team, and asked him to send his audience tapes, which he did twice. Then they booked him for the movie and told him that they will start shooting from December, but there was no confirmation, no dates given to him and no clarity from the team’s side.

Because he was booked for the whole month, and kept in the shadows, he missed out on lots of opportunities that would help him in his career.

From a fair perspective this situation is legitimate and an unprofessional behaviour from the team’s side.

Actors from North East are trying their level best to establish themselves, but sabotaging them like this and that too from a big production house like Dharma is not a good impression.

Jigra opened to a lukewarm ₹4.25 crore on its opening day, registering the worst box office opening in 10 years for Alia, and with all this negativity surrounding the movie, it seems like “Jigra’s” box office run will end soon.
