It has come as a big news that Karan Johar has decided to liquify his assets in Dharma and has sold fifty percent of the company. The news is spreading like wildfire and it has already taken over the internet. People are sharing posts on social media and memes are being made.
Netizens have already formed opinions about the same and they are quite strange ones. Most of the posts and memes are about Ranbir and Alia being the couple that single handedly destroyed the production house.
The reason is quite clear. Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Brahmastra’ was one of the most anticipated movies of the year and yet it failed to be a remarkable success at the theater. The movie cost Dharma quite an amount and now it is Alia’s turn. She is having her theatrical run with Jigra now. And the movie is not performing very well. The PR teams initially put on a façade that it is working fine but the shows are going without audiences.
Jigra comes from Vasan Bala and has a wonderful crew. His previous films are all great and have been appreciated by audiences and critics. This could have been Bala’s chance in having a commercial banger.
While Ranbir and Alia are not the only reasons for Dharma selling itself, they have contributed their part and people are not very wrong too.
