Salman Khan is currently filming for ‘Sikandar’ and to add to the fan’s excitement filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala has today announced ‘Kick 2’ from the sets of ‘Sikandar’ with a photoshoot.
The sequel announcement comes a decade after the original’s release in 2014 which itself was a remake of Ravi Teja’s 2009 Telugu film of the same name and whose sequel already came out in 2015. Whether the Hindi version will follows the same storyline or will it take a whole new route remains to be seen.
‘Kick’ was a comedy action film that marked the directorial debut of Sajid Nadiadwala and has since been the only film he has directed. Whether he will be returning to the director’s chair with ‘Kick 2’ is not known yet.
‘Kick’ was a blockbuster film back then and moreover it was Salman Khan’s first film to enter the ₹200 crore club. Though on the critical front the film received mixed reviews. It was praised for its humour, performances and soundtrack.
