Singham Again Ramayana Reference Brings Strong Response!

There is no doubt about the fact that the single most influential book in Indian epistemology is none other than Ramayana. Yes, there are tons of versions of the same story but the core essence of Good Defeating Evil remains the same. No doubt that Shri Ram alongwith Mata Seeta, Hanuman and others are worshipped in a very intense way.

We Indians have a very great habit of telling and retelling stories thus you see Ramleela being performed every year in a different manner. Needless to say, there are several films and series that resonate the same devotion we have towards Ram.

Singham Again screams to have the same resonance. There are characters in the movie compared straight with those in Ramayana and it was bound to invite some strong responses.

Needless to say, in things like this, you get a polar response. It is impossible for people to only love or only hate the references.

It is also very true that Bollywood in its wokeness has ignored Indian ethos for so many decades. Due to changes in the socio-political environment of India, they have started to accept and flaunt religious themes in their movies.

While some people loved the inclusion of Ramayana, others can’t seem to digest it. While some are hailing the new experiment, others are spewing venom and personal attacks on the cast members.
