Diwali weekend was a successful one for Bollywood as two of the biggest franchises collided throughout last weekend headlining various cinema chains throughout the country.
Ajay Devgn’s Supercop persona thrilled viewers with hard-hitting action and massy moments whereas Kartik Aaryan’s Rooh Baba mode electrified the audiences with elements of horror and comedy.
Talking about their weekend collections, both the films have performed great despite getting mixed reviews from the critics. Singham Again delivered over the weekend minting more than 180 crores worldwide and around 140 crores in India.
On the other hand, Kartik Aaryan’s horror comedy had a good run despite getting fewer screens and show timings. The film garnered over 160 crores worldwide whereas minted 123 crores in the Indian box office.
Despite having low screens and lesser shows, BB3 has been consistent with its overall collection whereas Singham Again has also bolstered the box office with its mighty collections.
As Diwali weekend is now behind us, the performance would certainly be affected. As both the films still have a firm grip over the box office, it remains to be seen where both the films go from this point.
