As the Indian audience now has a change in their taste buds, folk tales and mythical stories are taking the front seat, and one of the most prominent examples being, starring Sraddha Kapoor and Raj Kumar Rao, “Stree 2”.
This movie has no intention of slowing down even now, even in its sixth weekend.
Alongside that, it is all set to enter the ₹600 crore nett mark at the India box office on Sunday, becoming the first Hindi film to achieve this.
Earlier it became the highest grossing movie smashing Shah Rukh Khan’s , “Jawan”, and the entry into ₹600 is another milestone “Stree 2” is about to have.
The crore club is a prestigious stage for a film to be in. In 2009 “3 Idiots” reached the landmark grossing ₹200 cr and in 2017, S S Rajamouli’s “Baahubali Part 2 (Hindi)” entered the club grossing ₹500 cr.
And now with ₹600 cr “Stree 2” is going to be added to the list.
This movie is still running successfully in theatres for 30 days, so if you are waiting for its OTT release then sadly you have to wait till mid October.
The sheer fact that an Indian folklore based horror comedy dethroned “Baahubali” is a lot to digest.
Nonetheless, “Stree 2” is still in the cinemas and if you haven’t watched it yet then hurry up.
