Stree Franchise To Explore More Tales In Madhya Pradesh?

This year Bollywood got one of its biggest horror hits of the year, and that is “Stree 2” and on Wednesday, director Amar Kaushik confirmed that the franchise will be back with “Stree 3” as well as “Stree 4”.

At the Knowledge Series seminar, Kaushik disclosed this news, and he said that he is planning to explore more parts of Madhya Pradesh with this franchise.

While speaking about this project he said that initially “Stree” which came in 2018 wasn’t supposed to be in Chanderi, but in Goa. But, he wanted to avoid every single horror stereotype and make something very new and that’s why they relocated it to Madhya Pradesh.

Although, the director didn’t say much about the timeline of these movies, or anything about it, he said that MP’s very street and lane has some or the other stories to share and he will be exploring those areas, which have never been explored before.

The state started filming incentives in 2020 and is expected to expand them further in the near future.

The director also claimed the location to be a very friendly place, where new opportunities are growing more and more with the years and said it is a very safe space for women to work as well.

Nitanshi Goel, the film’s co-lead actor, called the locally-cast performers “supremely talented.”

It’s fair to say that the director is finding stories not in too obvious places but creating a much bigger space for the audience to see a vast portion of this rice culture which is now opening with new talents and opportunities.
