The release date for ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is out now. The movie will be hitting the theaters on the 15th of November this year.
The Sabarmati Report’ is directed by Dheeraj Sarna and stars actors like Vikrant Massey, Rashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra in leading roles. The movie is being produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures and Amul Mohan, Anshul Mohan for Vikir Films.
‘The Sabarmati Report’ is a film that can attract huge controversies. It is indeed a film based on true events but taking the current political scenario of India into account, it might get into some trouble as well. It will be the story of the Godhra Kand, in which a train named Sabarmati Express was put to arson by Muslim fanatics on the 27th February of 2002. This went on to the roots of Gujarat and got listed as one of the darkest moments in Indian history.
The trailer will be released soon and the plot details will be clearer after that. There is a tendency in filmmakers to distort historical facts according to their own political conveniences and this has caused much controversy in films like ‘The Kerala Story’, hopefully that will not repeat with ‘The Sabarmati Report’.
