The Sad Bollywood Trend Of Pulling Legs! Naseer As New Entry

Bollywood is visibly suffering. Production houses like Dharma are on the verge of being sold, even Yash Raj Films is investing only in the big budget films because they are not really in a position to trust small-budget films.

Yes, Maddock Films is doing really well and their rise has been phenomenal but it is yet to establish itself in the league of let’s say Yash Raj Films, Dharma Productions or even Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

Long story short, Bollywood is not in good health.

Still, the internal catfights are nowhere near stopping. Take the case of Divya Khosla Kumar and team Jigra. Yes, Jigra is not doing as well as she should have but what’s with Saavi?

Divya Khosla Kumar didn’t hesitate to pull the legs of Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. She pulled similar tricks a few years back when Sonu Nigam called out the problems of the T-Series.

Well, the new entry is that of Naseeruddin Shah. The legendary actor loves to blabber. He says anything and everything even if it causes a decline in his dignity.

Recently, he opened up on his conversation with Javed Akhtar. Naseeruddin Shah claimed that Sholay has taken a lot of inspiration from Clint Eastwood and Charlie Chaplin’s films.

Now, here’s the deal. Salim and Javed were writing in the 1970s when names like Clint Eastwood and Charlie Chaplin were as alien to common Indians as something gibberish like gmcsiswukbs.

They made a lot of films that defined the way and the very style of Indian Cinema. More importantly, any art which doesn’t take inspiration from others is rarely considered good art.

And why now?

Sholay would complete 50 years in 2025. Does it really matter if they really took so much inspiration?

So many problems in the current generation of Bollywood and it is amusing how Naseeruddin Shah points out something from half a century back.

Naseeruddin Shah is a brilliant actor who can be an institution in himself. It is sad to see him making random useless statements here and there.

This is just sad. Instead of innovation, and common problem-solving, Bollywood is just busy in catfights. This is impacting the box office and the most impacted person due to this is the one who works in a small single-screen theatre.

We wish that the likes of Naseeruddin Shah and Divya Khosla Kumar would rather work on that.
