Three films were scheduled to be released today in India- Martin, Jigra and the family-comedy Vicky Vidya Ka Who Wala Video (VVKWWV). VVKWWV has garnered a huge attention already due to the cast that stars in the film- Rajkummar Rao who recently gave an All-Time Blockbuster Film to the Bollywood fraternity, and Tripti Dimri who has been part of multiple successful films recently. Audience after watching the film showed a very positive response towards it.
People seemed to have liked the light plot of the film. The simple, family friendly and linear gags and fun elements were appreciated. People have also especially pointed out the brilliant performances that Rajkummar and Tripti have shown. Apart from them the other legends in the film like Vijay Raaz were also appreciated for their impact in the film.
Supposedly, what grabbed the maximum attention of the audience was the special appearance of Shehnaz Gill in the film. She appeared in the film in the song named Sajna Ve Sajna which is a recreation of an old classic from the film Chameli (2003).
Although the film mostly received praise from the people, the audience seemed unhappy about a few things. The major pointers being the same caricature in which Rajkummar is being casted again and again. Currently he has become the poster boy for the role of small-town middle class, sweet and innocent guy. People wish to see him in other shades as well. Whereas, post her success with Animal, Tripti Dimri is being spammed by the filmmakers in their movies as a glamour icon. People have forgotten her classic performances in films like Laila Majnu, Bulbbul and Qala. It seems looking at her in every second film makes it boring for the audience to watch.
The film seems like a promising entertainer for the audience. Looking at the film’s first impression over the audience, the film is sure to succeed in future. The film’s start, though slow, seems to pace up in the next few days to be a good hit.
