What Is The Scope For ‘I Want To Talk’ Amongst Mainstream Audiences?

Every now and then, a story attains importance of such magnitude that it sticks with viewers for a long time. A longer time still even after the hype for it dies down. However, for the most part, films like these only appeal to a limited chunk of the audience.

Take for example the case of Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming family drama β€˜I Want To Talk’. Starring Abhishek Bachchan in a leading role, the film follows the heartfelt journey of a man who is preparing for a major surgery, all the while also dealing with the ups and downs of his relationships with family and friends.

It has been proven time and time again recently that not only do viewers prefer original scripts, but they also lean towards stories they can relate to. Moreover, some initial reviews about the film have been largely positive, especially about the performances delivered by supporting cast members like Johnny Lever as well.

However, with all that being said, these aspects are well-appreciated and well-received only by fans who take a liking to out-of-the-box stories. Which is to say, even the scope of something which has the potential to become the β€˜next-big-thing’ has become limited by the lack of conversation about it amongst mainstream audiences.
