Who Bagged 'Singham Again's International Distribution Rights?

Theatrical releases have been on the lower side these past couple days. And the same has been more than visible considering the amount of films being re-released in theatres. Which makes anticipated titles like ‘Singham Again’, all the more awaited.

Not only does the upcoming action thriller stars superstars Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh in leading roles, the film has now been acquired by Phars Film with respect to its overseas theatrical distribution rights! The action thriller from Jio Studios, helmed by director Rohit Shetty, is perhaps one of Bollywood’s biggest releases for the year.

Shetty’s cop franchise, initially a remake of Hari’s 2010 Suriya starrer Tamil-language feature ‘Singam’, came into existence with the Ajay Devgn – Prakash Raj starrer ‘Singham’ in 2011, followed by ‘Singham Returns’ in 2014. Both well received titles were centred around Bajirao Singham, an honest-to-God Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) from the Goa-Maharashtra border town of Shivgarh.

The latest installments of the franchise have been ‘Simmba’ as well as the most recent ‘Sooryavanshi’ in 2021. ‘Singham Again’ boasts an added A-list ensemble which also includes Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff as well as Arjun Kapoor.

Phars Film has teamed up with Moviegoers Entertainment to orchestrate the film’s massive rollout to nearly 1,500 screens outside India!
