With less than a week to witness one of the most hyped Box Office battles in recent memory, two of the biggest franchises in Bollywood, Singham, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa are in their third installment. The hype for the clash has been unreal over the internet with fans debating all day long giving an edge to their favourites. Amid the ongoing battle of supremacy and screen count, what should you watch and expect from both franchises is what we will talk about today.
You must’ve seen thousands of comments regarding Kartik Aaryan’s comparison to the OG Akshay Kumar in the horror comedy sequel. Well, there is no lie that the character Akshay portrayed and the charm he had is irreplaceable, however, Kartik Aaryan tries his level best to add more to the movie and that was seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which was released in 2022, and was predicted to be a huge disaster. Defying the odds, the Shehzada of Bollywood proved that he has what it takes to deliver a blockbuster as the main lead.
The same might be the case with the third installment of the film but things never happen the same way. There is a huge risk of landing another part with so many questions and unsolved theories from the previous two installments. Kartik’s formula of sitting at the top of an already established franchise might make him suffer this time as the early trailers and songs of the film haven’t been very successful.
Take Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 for example, the title track of the film wasn’t trolled at this level given it was a remake. Though the track wasn’t the best way to remake an instant classic, it was bearable for the fans. The same can be said with the trailer as sloppy dialogues, meme references and Kartik’s forced humor can’t save an already disastrous film.
Talking about trailers, let’s shed some light on Singham Again. With all the tools on the table, Rohit Shetty aims to provide the viewers with some kind of Bollywood party to which every actor is invited. The trailer of the film was certainly trolled for telling the full story of the film, but that’s what Shetty aimed for in the first place.
He has always stated how he wants to connect with the viewers letting them know what’s in store. With such a stellar cast on display, who wouldn’t love to watch Singham Again? Though the plot is predictable, it still has an upper edge over Kartik Aaryan’s forced horror comedy world. As Diwali revs up for a huge battle, Singham Again might come out of it with a huge bang despite some fluctuations in the start. Which film would you be enjoying this Diwali as it is Rooh Baba vs Bajirao Singham in the theatres in a battle of supremacy and pride?
