Famous filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is getting ready to introduce his son Vir to acting with a new project. This upcoming film is a slice-of-life drama and will be Vir’s big debut. It will be released on a popular OTT platform. Filming is set to start by this month, and it comes a year after Hirani’s last film Dunki with Shah Rukh Khan.
Sources say that this film will carry Hirani’s signature style. It will have humor mixed with an important message. Vir’s character is made to connect with young people. The story will be easy to relate to and meaningful. Rajkumar feels this role is the perfect chance for his son to enter the industry, where young audiences can see themselves in his character.
Rajkumar is not the only boss man here. His son Vir has a fair share in bringing this project alive. The father-son duo have been working for two years to make this happen. Vir was born and brought up in the UK, and has graduated from the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London and comes from a theatre background. In fact, on his stage debut with Letters from Suresh, directed by Feroz Abbas Khan, the 29-year-old has performed a challenging 35-minute monologue and impressed everyone.
As the film starts, it is pretty sure that this project is close to a lot of hearts, including the one that adores everything that Hirani does, and of course, Hirani and his finest team member, his son. The two are embarking upon a great journey.
