Sunny Deol made a magnificent comeback with ‘Gadar 2’ in 2023 and ever since he has been signing multiple projects. One such venture is his next film ‘Jaat’ that guarantees to be a mass feast.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, who is known for his massy action films, is making his Hindi debut with ‘Jaat’ and we will surely see his signature style in the film. What’s more pressing is the question that while ‘Border 2’, catalysed by its nostalgic factor, served as the perfect launch pad for Sunny Deol to re-enter the industry, will ‘Jaat’ help him solidify it further?
The audience loves to see Deol do what he does best and that’s raw and intense action. Since ‘Jaat’ promises the same, it does look promising as a career choice for him. Also, in addition to Hindi the film will release in Telugu and Tamil too, which will help increase his reach as a mass hero in regions that adore such genre.
Although, one issue that ‘Jaat’ might face is the competition at the box office in all the three languages it plans to release in on 10th April, 2025. For the Hindi belt, it is set to clash with ‘Jolly LLB 3’. This will be his back to back second clash with an Akshay Kumar film after ‘Gadar 2’ Vs ‘OMG 2’.
For the Tamil version, ‘Jaat’ will have to face two biggies, Ajith Kumar’s ’Good Bad Ugly’ and Dhanush’s ‘Idly Kadai’. The tussle is no less in the Telugu zone where Prabhas’ ‘The Raja Saab’ and Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s ‘Jack’ are releasing on the same date.
These clashes are going to be tough and if Sunny Deol has to make a solid impact and ground for his upcoming projects, ‘Jaat’ will have to crack the mass masala formula and once again create the same waves as he did with ‘Gadar 2’.
