Films come and films go. But it is also a very common occurrence that some films leave an impression so lasting that it continues to stick with viewers, even after a very long time. Even films that don’t stay as long, manage to stay with audiences long enough for them to gauge whether or not they would want to witness something else along the same overall theme.
Such stands to be the case with the horror-comedy genre at the moment. One of the biggest hits of the year, ‘Stree 2’, truly proved to be a gem from the horror-comedy space. So much so, that it has left fans wanting more from the Maddock Supernatural Universe.
However, is this temporary and circumstantial desire from fans enough to sustain the upcoming films in the Universe? Especially upcoming films namely ‘Thama’. Considering the huge success that ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Munjya’ garnered, it is to be expected that ‘Thama’ will also debut to positive reviews.
Will this support be enough, though? Will the major selling point for ‘Thama’ be only capitalizing off of its predecessor instalments? Because if it fails to even do that, it might as well just mark the conclusion of the reign of the horror-comedy genre, at least for the near future!
