Ananya Panday’s ‘Call Me Bae’ Is Coming Back For S2 On Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has announced that Ananya Panday led ‘Call Me Bae’ has been renewed for a second season and it is now in development. In the short black and white announcement video launched today, the star cast of ‘Call Me Bae’ pose in stylish looks as the camera flashes from one to the other.

As per the official synopsis, in ‘Call Me Bae’ Bella “Bae” Chowdhary is downsized from an heiress to a hustler and in this journey she discovers that her most valuable assets aren’t her diamonds, but her street smarts and style. Broke, but refusing to be broken, she navigates the newsrooms of Mumbai, finding beaus, behens, and her better self while breaking big news.

‘Call Me Bae’ is a comedy drama that got mixed reviews upon its premiere on Prime Video India. Ananya’s on-screen character resembles very much to her real life persona and she carries it very well in the show. Though the writing of the show is very convenient, the meta references used in it are hilarious.

It will be interesting to see how Bella’s journey moves forward in ‘Call Me Bae’ season 2 and if the supporting characters arcs are better developed this time.

‘Call Me Bae’ is directed by Collin D’Cunha and created by Ishita Moitra, who has also written the series along with Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair. In addition to Ananya Pandey, the series stars Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur in pivotal roles. The show is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment. Stay tuned to binged.com for further details on ‘Call Me Bae’ season2.
