Vikramaditya Motwane is one of the most celebrated directors in the country. His films like Udaan and Lootera are counted among the best Hindi films of the century but he is doing even better in the digital space.
With Sacred Games, he literally established new norms of OTT as it was not only a huge blockbuster but also an excellent film to watch on an artistic level.
Then came Jubilee last year which was easily one of the best titles we saw ever on OTT.
So, we have Black Warrant. A new series on Netflix India by Vikramaditya Motwane. The man is known for tight innovative screenplays that leave a lasting impact on the people.
Black Warrant is about a man who wants to be a jailer but doesn’t have the typical personality required for it. A jailer needs to have a great build up, good height and an intimidating personality to say the least.
And this is not any ordinary jail. This is Tihar Jail, one of the most important and dreaded jails in India.
A man like Sunil Kumar Gupta is definitely going to have a lot of problems settling there. The teaser looks good. It has a bit of humour and drama that we expect.
Let’s see how it turns out to be on Netflix India.
