Dhurandhar Coming to OTT But With a Massive Problem

Dhurandhar is set to release on Netflix India tomorrow, but the streaming version will be shorter than its theatrical cut. When the film released in cinemas, its runtime was a massive 3 hours and 34 minutes, which became a major talking point among audiences. Many viewers were excited about watching a long, detailed spy thriller on the big screen, and the film’s length added to its event like appeal.

However, Netflix has officially listed the runtime of Dhurandhar as 3 hours and 25 minutes. This means the digital version will be 9 minutes shorter than the theatrical release. While there is no official confirmation on which scenes have been removed, most probably the trimmed portions include scenes of extreme violence and strong language. Some reports suggest that a few intense sequences involving Arjun Rampal’s character, particularly torture scenes, may have been edited out for the streaming release.

The news has not gone down well with many fans, especially those who were hoping to watch the film in its original form on Netflix. Several viewers feel that the film’s raw intensity was one of its strengths and that any cuts could affect the overall impact. That said, it remains to be seen exactly which scenes are missing, and a clearer picture will emerge once the film begins streaming.
