The Kapoor family has been ruling Bollywood for nearly a century now. The fan following of some members of this family is massive. People love them. And this time, Bollywood’s first film family honours the legendary Raj Kapoor on his 100th birthday.
This extraordinary gathering, featuring Bollywood royalty like Randhir Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, alongside Saif Ali Khan and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, represents a once-in-a-generation celebration of the family’s legacy, love, and unity.
Dining with the Kapoors is created by Armaan Jain and helmed by acclaimed director Smriti Mundhra (best known for The Romantics).
This documentary special gives viewers a candid, behind-the-scenes look at one of Bollywood’s most adored dynasties. Shot in a natural, observational style, the show uses the family’s shared love for food as a backdrop for their playful banter, heartfelt stories, and deep-rooted memories.
Director Smriti Mundhra describes Dining with the Kapoors as a homecoming project. She aims to craft a special story about the importance of family and legacy, capturing the Kapoor family, whom she describes as tight-knit, fun-loving, and “absolutely obsessed with food”, in an authentic, unfiltered way.
