So, Prime Video…quote politely…What the hell is going on with you?
You know about career trajectory. The best ones? They go up. Something like Netflix India as they are slowly trying to grasp the Indian audience.
But, you must have come across this type of student.
In school? They were toppers. But, something happened and now, they are clueless. That’s Prime Video for you. Once they were the very best in the bizz. But now they lost that motion.
Results? We are seeing things such as Follow Kar Lo Yaar or The Rana Daggubati Show.
Now, it might be fun or interesting for a small group of people but, the number, as you can imagine, is very low. But, now they are doubling down on the strategy.
Next on the line? The recent internet sensation…Orhan Awatramani. Or as the internet knows him as Orry. The name? Your Fault.
This is definitely one way of getting doomed. Now, a celebrity centric show is nothing new but what’s the worst part is that, fans aren’t even sinking with the same wavelength.
Shows like Keeping Up With the Kardashians worked because they were relevant, and that too for a good span of time. But, in the current age and the social media age, it’s hard to build a lasting brand with someone like Orry as their relevance will only come and go.
Only time will tell how disastrous the show will be. Till then, sit back…and probably be scared as you can’t relax until and unless Prime Video revealed what the show is about.
