Citadel Honey Bunny is just days away from getting released. The series directed by Prime Video is going to be a massive deal not only for Raj and DK but for Prime Video India.
But, Russo Brothers and Prime Video globally also have a lot of things at stake in this series.
So, the project is so damn big that only Indian attention is not going to work. As you may already know, Varun Dhawan and Samantha are the parents of Nadia who grows up to become Priyanka Chopra in the American Citadel.
So, the series is connected and the story needs to be acknowledged by the global audience too.
So what is Prime Video actually doing for the global reception of Citadel Honey Bunny?
Nothing much actually. Merely uploading the trailer on the main Prime Video account means nothing at all.
Promoting a series of this magnitude needs a lot of effort which is not in the visible spectrum.
There must be international press meets, dubbed trailers and connection-establishing videos to do these things.
None of it is actually targeting International audiences. Indians will definitely watch the series due to the brand value of Raj and DK but the international audience needs something else too.
Looks like Prime Video is not giving them that.
