Do you remember The Romantics? In 2023, Netflix India brought a whole documentary on Yash Raj Films and the family. They talked about Yash Chopra, his films and of course his children who are currently handling the entire YRF Films.
If you observe closely, the entire series is nothing but a high budget marketing campaign. Well, if Aditya Chopra can do that then so can Hrithik Roshan.
So, there is a Netflix India documentary on the way and it talks about “The Roshans”. Yes, you may think that Hrithik Roshan and his father are the two members of the family but it is not true.
In the 1950s and 1960d, we listened to a man called Roshan transforming the music industry with his extremely melodious and powerful songs. His impeccable impact on Bollywood music is not very explored today but he was a massively popular music director at that time.
His music genes showed in Rajesh Roshan, his son while the elder Rakesh Roshan switched to acting and direction. Rajesh Roshan also became a highly successful music director while Rakesh Roshan struggled in acting.
He later switched to direction and came out to be a decent but very powerful director who has many blockbusters as well as flops.
Then came of course Hrithik Roshan whom everyone knows. So, on the occasion of Hrithik’s birthday, which is 10th of January, we will see the documentary getting released.
This way, the documentary will be near the 25th anniversary of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and the 31st anniversary of Karan Arjun. Both of them are generation-defining films by Rakesh Roshan.
Anyways, let’s see what strategy Netflix India uses to promote them.
