Jio Cinema Launches Medical Drama ‘Doctors’ Led By Sharad Kelkar
Jio Cinema has launched its latest original series ‘Doctors’ and just like any other medical drama the doctors will be handling some crucial cases and saving lives in this one too. Helmed by Sahir Raza, ‘Doctors’ will premiere only on Jio Cinema on 27th December, 2024.
The teaser launched for ‘Doctors’ has a voiceover by Sharad Kelkar who is a surgeon by profession and while on the front we see various doctors rushing to deal with emergency cases that arrive at the hospital. In the background, Kelkar can be heard talking about how as a surgeon there are various moments when patient’s lives are in their hands and there is no space for even a split second of mistake.
The whole teaser has that rushed, urgent vibe that is there in a hospital when a life and death situation is being handled by doctors in an operation theatre. Medical dramas make for binge worthy shows as has been seem with various international shows like ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘The Good Doctor’, ‘House MD’ and more and Jio Cinema seems to capitalise on this fact with ‘Doctors’ that has a very similar vibe as to that of a typical medical drama.
‘Doctors’ is directed by Sahir Raza and stars Sharad Kelkar, Harleen Sethi, Aamir Ali, Vivaan Shah, Viraf Patel, Teena Singh, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Abhishek Khan, Sarah Hashmi, and Vansh Sethii among others.
