There really can be no promotion as good as a viral music video and we have seen countless times that good music has saved many movies at the theaters. But there are usually no instances when music is used to promote a project that is coming to OTT. ‘Do Patti’ tries to break that norm.

A new song from ‘Do Patti’ has been released. ‘Raanjhan’ the song is sung by Parampara Tandon, composed by Sachet-Parampara and written by Kausar Munir. The song has gathered a decent amount of views on YouTube and has given a glimpse of what the plot could be like. 10 million views in three days is enough promotion and it seems the makers do not have to think more of the promotions now.

OTT is learning the theatrical secrets of marketing and it can mean many things. There is a probability that there will be more songs on OTT stories now and they will not only be part of the narrative but also of the marketing. There are also many people who are not in support of songs and dances punctuating the flow of the story and were therefore more comfortable with OTT, and they might find it rather disconcerting that there will be songs in web shows as well.

Whatever it might be, Do Patti’s venture with Raanjhan is obviously quite successful and there might be a few more songs from it that will come soon.
