Netflix’s Lust Stories 3: Motwane, Batra, Rao, Bhardwaj Unite

Netflix is officially turning up the heat once more. The bold, boundary-pushing franchise Lust Stories is set to return for a third season, making history as the first Indian anthology to reach three seasons on the streaming giant.

While previous seasons explored the complexities of the modern Indian heart through the lenses of directors like Zoya Akhtar and Karan Johar, Season 3 brings in a fresh, heavy-hitting lineup of auteurs.

This time, the exploration of love, power, and social hierarchies is being handed to Vikramaditya Motwane, Shakun Batra, Kiran Rao, and Vishal Bhardwaj.

What makes Lust Stories 3 particularly compelling isn’t just the names behind the camera, but the electric cast assembled for these shorts.

In Vikramaditya Motwane’s segment, powerhouse performers Radhika Apte and Konkona Sen Sharma take centre stage, whereas Shakun Batra’s segment features the duo of Ali Fazal and Radhika Madan.

Meanwhile, Kiran Rao’s segment pairs Gurfateh Pirzada with fresh face Sana Thampi, and Vishal Bhardwaj teams up once again with Aditi Rao Hydari for his addition to the collection.

Apte returns from Season 1, and Sen Sharma, this time as a performer, returns from Season 2.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala (RSVP) and Ashi Dua (Flying Unicorn Entertainment), the series continues its tradition of unapologetic storytelling.

As per online reports, filming for all four segments is officially complete, and the project has moved into post-production. Netflix is currently eyeing a mid-2026 premiere.

As the first anthology to break the “two-season curse” in India, Lust Stories 3 isn’t just a sequel, it’s a testament to how much Indian audiences have evolved, trading traditional tropes for stories that are raw, real, and refreshingly human. Stay tuned for more updates.
