Prime Video has unveiled the teaser of second season of one its most celebrated shows ‘Paatal Lok’ and Jaipdeep Ahlawat has a creepy story to tell in it. Created, show run and executive produced by Sudip Sharma, ‘Paatal Lok’ season 2 will premiere only on Prime Video on 17th January, 2025.
In the newly launched teaser Jaideep Ahlawat who stars as inspector Hathi Ram Chaudhary in ‘Paatal Lok’ takes the viewers to a kind of hell through a vintage styled elevator while narrating a story. Along the way as the story gets dark and violent so does the scenes inside the elevator. With every jolt, sparks and flickering of light, Ahlawat would look all worn out as he sustains some injury marks on his face and even his position changes from standing to sitting. By the end he reaches into a place that’s filled with smoke and nothing much is visible.
The story he tells is set in a quiet village where lived a man who hated insects with every fiber of his being. For him it was these insects who were the root of all the world’s evil. One day when an insect crawls out of a corner of his house and bites him, he musters up all his courage and kills it, becoming a hero and a saviour for the whole village. All was going well until one still, eerie night, something moved under his bed. Turned out, infinite number of insects had surfaced!
The teaser does not give away much about the story and keeps the viewers intrigued while getting under their nerves at the same time. ‘Paatal Lok’ Season 2 promises to take the viewers into an even darker, immersive and more treacherous world and the teaser does well to convey that.
This season, Hathi Ram Chaudhary (Jaideep Ahlawat) along with his team will venture into an uncharted territory that is described as “a perilous ‘fresh hell’ that will test them like never before.”
Avinash Arun Dhaware is the director for ‘Paatal Lok’ season 2 and it stars an ensemble cast of Jaidee Ahlawat, Ishwak Singh, and Gul Panag returning to reprise their roles along with new members that include Tillotama Shome, Nagesh Kukunoor and Jahnu Barua in prominent roles.
Produced by Clean Slate Filmz Production in association with Eunoia Films LLP, ‘Paatal Lok’ season 2 will launch exclusively on Prime Video on 17th January, 2025.
