The teaser of Prime Video’s upcoming crime thriller Daldal was released on Friday, and it has already shocked many viewers. From the very first frame, the teaser makes it clear that this will not be an easy watch. It opens with a warning asking viewers to use discretion, and what follows is a series of violent and disturbing visuals.
The 60 second teaser has no dialogue. Instead, it shows blood, torture, and brutal murders in quick flashes. Victims are not only killed but also badly disfigured in horrifying ways. There are scenes of burning bodies, heavy bloodshed, and intense violence. It certainly looks like one of the bloodiest Indian shows ever made for OTT.
Bhumi Pednekar plays a police officer named Rita Ferreira, who is trying to catch a dangerous killer in Mumbai. The teaser also hints at her troubled past, showing her remembering a painful childhood moment. The tone of the show feels dark, serious, and emotionally heavy.
The series also stars Samara Tijori and Aditya Rawal in important roles. Daldal is based on the book Bhendi Bazaar by Vish Dhamija and is produced by Abundantia Entertainment.
If the teaser is anything to go by, Daldal will be one of the most violent and intense Indian crime shows in recent years.
The series will release on Amazon Prime Video on January 30.
