Prime Video’s ‘The Mehta Boys’ Trailer Is A Cinematic Beauty

Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming direct-to-digital release ‘The Mehta Boys’ and this one is bound to melt your hearts. Helmed by Boman Irani, in his directorial debut, ‘The Mehta Boys’ is set to premiere on Prime Video on 7th February, 2025.

‘The Mehta Boys’ trailer begins with a grown up son Amay (Avinash Tiwary) bringing his father (played by Boman Irani) home after the demise of his mother. Their awkwardness with each other is so palpable that you can almost feel yourself in their shoes.

Forced to live together for 48 hours feels like a mountain to Amay who has had a pretty strained relationship with his father and finds it extremely hard to even be in his vicinity. From arguing over trivial matters to making him meet the person he loves, the two try their best to be together but none of it feels natural. The lack of trust in each other is another conspicuous thing between the two.

‘The Mehta Boys’ trailer very beautifully captures the complex emotions the two individuals are going through. The absence of the mother hits hard as the glue holding them together is now lost. Also, the way weather has been used as an element to portray the different phases of their relationship is really great. Overall, it leaves you with a lingering feeling in your heart that’s not gonna go away soon.

Boman Irani has directed ‘The Mehta Boys’ which he has co-written with Academy Award winner Alexander Dinelaris (‘Birdman’). Irani also stars in the film alongside Avinash Tiwary, Shreya Chaudhary and Puja Sarup.

Irani has produced ‘The Mehta Boys’ under his Irani Movietone LLP banner alongside Danesh Irani, Vikesh Bhutani and Shujaat Saudagar in association with Chalkboard Entertainment.

‘The Mehta Boys’ has had an acclaimed festival run and is now set for premiere on Prime Video on 7th February, 2025 and will be streaming in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
