After enjoying a historic theatrical run, YRF’s Saiyaara is all set for its OTT premiere on Netflix on September 12. This Mohit Suri musical drama not only skyrocketed the careers of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda but also emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2025, grossing over INR 570 crores worldwide.
Just when it seemed like the buzz around Saiyaara was beginning to fade, it came roaring back like a lightning bolt after a never-before-seen deleted scene from the movie surfaced online a few days ago. Naturally, this has fuelled calls for Netflix to release the film’s uncut version.
Netflix has not yet clarified whether viewers will get the uncut version of Saiyaara on September 12 or simply the theatrical cut. For now, all we can do is wait until tomorrow to find out.
The deleted scene features Padda’s character, Vaani, after she is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. We see Vaani leaving Manali and reminiscing about the beautiful moments she shared with Krish (Panday). It’s a deeply emotional sequence, but the makers chose to exclude it from the theatrical release.
There’s also a noticeable section of the fanbase that feels Padda deserved more screentime. They want to see more of her acting range, and the uncut version would allow the makers to showcase more of her screen presence.
Whether Netflix’s release will include this highly anticipated deleted scene remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: excitement for Saiyaara’s streaming debut is at an all-time high, driven by fans eager to experience more of the film’s emotional depth and Aneet Padda’s performance.
As we await the premiere, the question on everyone’s mind is whether Saiyaara’s OTT release will finally deliver the extended scenes and deeper character moments that viewers have been waiting for. Stay tuned for more updates.
