Stree 2 is finally available to stream on Prime Video. But you must be thinking it is great news that would have caused mayhem to the fans of the movie. Particularly because Stree 2 is the highest-grosser Hindi film of all time and the kind of success it received is simply astounding, to say the least.
But as the mammoth success is now available to stream, isn’t it supposed to be a matter of excitement?
Well, it could have been. But, Prime Video customers are simply targeting the platform for the release of the movie. They are not wrong in their way because all they are seeing is, RENT.
Yes, Stree 2 is available to rent on Prime Video Store at an additional price of ₹349 and it is causing a lot of disappointment among the fans. It is more than 2 and a half years since Prime Video has been doing this and every time it causes fans to be angry.
But you see, Stree 2 has not completed 8 weeks on the big screens yet. Hindi films have to follow this format otherwise they face legal trouble.
So the release of Stree 2 on Prime Video is indeed a very early release. One reason could be the release of Devara which would apparently replace Stree 2 after a glorious run.
Prime Video could not have brought Stree 2 on regular streaming now but let’s be honest. These things cause piracy. People will pirate the film and it will adversely affect the film when it starts regular streaming.
Rent option on @PrimeVideoIN is the worst service one can get even after getting the prime membership

It's getting worse day by day 🤒 pic.twitter.com/liHQug7IZi
I don’t get why I’m paying for a Prime membership when new content is so rare. And when it does come, it's often on rent. What's the point of a membership if I have to pay extra to watch good content? @PrimeVideo #PrimeVideo #CustomerExperience @PrimeVideoIN@poojashukla022

@PrimeVideoIN what worst app this is! After even paying subscription charge rs.1500/- and u are asking for rental separately for watching some movies. It is a mendicant service and u are expecting we will give u alms.
