System Trailer: Sonakshi & Jyothika Join Forces

Prime Video has dropped the first official trailer for System. The new series takes us into a world where the law isn’t just a set of rules, it’s a weapon. At the centre of this storm are Sonakshi Sinha and Jyothika, an unexpected but intriguing pairing that promises to redefine the “odd couple” trope within the high-stakes corridors of Indian justice.

Sonakshi plays Neha, an ambitious lawyer locked in a high-stakes professional wager with her own father, played with a veteran’s poise by Ashutosh Gowariker. To prove her worthiness for a partnership in his prestigious firm, she must win ten near-impossible cases.

Enter Jyothika, a street-smart courtroom stenographer who hears everything the judges miss. Their alliance is born out of necessity but fuelled by a shared, albeit complicated, moral compass. While Neha fights for status, Sarika seems to be fighting for something much more personal, and perhaps more dangerous.

Visually, System looks to be a departure from the dusty, mahogany-heavy courtroom dramas we’re used to. The trailer leans heavily into the idea that justice is a luxury of the privileged, posing a biting question: in a machinery built to protect power, how do two women manage to throw a wrench into the gears?

We also see Sonakshi and Ashutosh going head-to-head in a couple of scenes in the new trailer, teasing a “father vs. daughter” dynamic that could take the show in interesting directions.

System is all set to premiere on Prime Video on May 22. For Sonakshi, it’s a continuation of the gritty, layered path she carved in Dahaad. For Jyothika, it’s a powerful step into the Hindi digital space, bringing her signature intensity to a role that demands both silence and strength. Stay tuned for more updates.
