Unreal Numbers: The Bads of Bollywood Crush Rivals

As expected, The Bads of Bollywood (or The Ba**ds of Bollywood*) has set social media on fire. Practically everyone in the Indian OTT space is talking about Aryan Khan’s grand debut. Most importantly, his satirical and humorous take on Bollywood has been well-received by both viewers and critics. The cast’s performances, particularly Raghav Juyal’s, along with the star-studded cameos, have also earned widespread praise. The show has captured a global audience and is performing strongly on Netflix.

According to analytics site FlixPatrol, the series climbed to the ninth spot on Netflix’s list of top TV shows on Monday, a slight bump from its tenth-place ranking on Sunday. It’s charting alongside major international hits like the Spanish thriller Billionaires’ Bunker, currently holding the top spot, and the South Korean drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, sitting at number two.

The series has become a massive hit beyond India as well. It’s the number-one Netflix show in countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Oman, the Maldives, the UAE, and Mauritius. It’s also performing impressively in Australia, Sri Lanka, Qatar, Kuwait, and several other regions.

Adding to the buzz, the latest Ormax Media report reveals that The Bads of Bollywood is dominating viewership charts. Aryan Khan’s debut series was the most-watched original streaming show in India last week, pulling in a whopping 4.5 million views, significantly higher than its closest competitor, Kajol’s The Trial, which managed 2.5 million views.

Created by Aryan Khan, The Bads of Bollywood features a powerhouse ensemble including Lakshya Lalwani, Raghav Juyal, Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Bobby Deol, Sahher Bambba, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, Rajat Bedi, Manish Chaudhari, and Gautami Kapoor. It’s also packed with cameos from Bollywood royalty, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, S.S. Rajamouli, and many more.
