Two films under the same title are decades apart and are now finally connected in a shared universe. That’s like the ultimate fan fantasy. And it’s about to come true. Ralph Machhio, the original Karate Kid, and Jackie Chan, who played Mr. Han in the 2010 Karate Kid, are coming together in the new Karate Kid movie.
The newly established “Miyagi verse” is ready to take flight next year. The next movie in the universe will see Daniel LaRusso, the original student of Mr. Miyagi in the 1984 film, and Mr. Han now train young Ben Wang collectively for the upcoming battles.
